How long we keep your data

Here's how long things stay:

• Ideas, with their chats and versions, stay until you delete them or your account. Deleting an idea removes it with its chats and versions straight away, and it can't be undone.
• Notes, chats that never became an idea, clear themselves after 7 days with no new message.
• When you delete your account, your data leaves the live service straight away and our backups within 30 days.
• Free accounts that haven't been used for 12 months may be deleted. We email you at least 30 days before, so you can sign in to keep it or download everything.
• Unused top-up credit expires after 2 years without a sign-in, and invite credit 12 months after it's added.
• Payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.
• Messages you send our team are kept so we can finish your request. Ask and we'll delete them.
